RAFTING

Looking for more excitement?

Our sport Rafting trip takes you through some of the most impressive rapids in the Verdon Gorge.

Lasting around 2½ to 3 hours, this route offers a longer and more adventurous experience in spectacular surroundings.

Recommended from 12 years old.

Where can you do rafting
in the Gorges du Verdon ?

Depending on the season and water levels, we offer two different starting points.

During July and August, departures take place from Pont de Taloire, where dam releases provide ideal conditions for rafting.

During the rest of the season, family rafting usually starts from Castellane.

When the dam is closed, you can still discover the Verdon through our Aquatrekking and Packrafting trips.

Summer rafting departure (July & August)

During the summer, our rafting trips start from Pont de Taloire, about 8 km from Castellane.

This quieter departure point allows you to enjoy the river with fewer boats and a more natural atmosphere.

Spring & Autumn departures

Outside the summer season, water releases depend on the dam schedule.

Family rafting generally starts from Castellane, making it easy to discover the Verdon even when water levels are lower.

When can you go rafting
in the  Verdon ?

Rafting in the Verdon depends on water releases from the Castillon Dam.

In July and August, releases are scheduled every Tuesday and Friday, making it easy to plan your rafting trip.

During the rest of the year, releases are announced the day before, depending on water management.

Even if rafting is not possible, the Verdon offers many other unforgettable adventures such as Aquatrekking and Packrafting.
